Ebola or Ebola virus disease (EVD) is a deadly viral disease that affects humans and primates and is caused by the ebola virus. It was first detected in Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo in 1976. Humans can get infected by other humans, or through infected chimpanzees, gorillas, monkeys, and porcupines. This virus gets transmitted through blood, breastfeeding, feces, saliva, semen, sweat, vomit, and urine. Symptoms like diarrhea, fever, muscle pain, internal and external bleeding, and vomiting develop between 2 days and 3 weeks after getting infected with the virus. There is no cure or vaccine available against Ebola as of now.
