A medical emergency is any medical condition that can result in permanent injury or death. Some of the common medical emergencies are fainting, chest pain, choking, bleeding, seizure, etc. If you see someone fainting or having chest pain, call for an ambulance immediately. Stay calm, and look if the person is breathing or not. If the person is not breathing and if you do not feel any pulse, start CPR until paramedics arrive. If the person is bleeding profusely, with the help of a cloth, give pressure to stop or control bleeding.
