About "Hidradenitis "
It is a skin condition that causes painful scaring or bumps. The cause for this is unclear but can be associated with smoking, obesity, Crohn's disease. It can occur during any age but more commonly starts during puberty. The symptoms include the formation of red lumps or cysts along with suppuration. It is often seen in and around the genital area, armpits, anus, buttocks or breasts. A swab test of the infected area can be done. The treatment comprises of antibiotics and in severe cases, surgery is advised.
