Know How Our iCliniq Doctor Treated a Patient Suffering From Dermatitis for Years

A patient reached out to us regarding her dermatitis, which she had for the past five years, and she was on medications. She complained that recently her skin was burning. She also mentioned using sunscreen in the evening before going out, and later, when she returned home and washed her face, the inflammation started, and the skin began to peel off. She mentioned all the medications she was taking and wanted some help to improve her condition.

Our iCliniq doctor went through all her reports, looked at her medications, and suggested she avoid using Tacrolimus ointment during these acute attacks as it can worsen dermatitis. She also suggested continuing the rest of the treatment and avoiding sun exposure as much as possible.

The patient followed the doctor’s advice and said that her skin was cooling down a bit but wanted to know how to promote the growth of the upper epidermal layer and also told that her hair follicles on the eyebrows are paining too much and a small amount of blood keeps coming out of the epidermal layer.

Our doctor advised her to mix soft white and liquid paraffin in a 50:50 ratio and apply it to the affected area three to four times a day. She also assured the patient that this would fasten the healing process. Apart from this, the doctor advised her to use non-irritating soap. Our doctor also mentioned that if the skin burns after this treatment, it indicates a viral infection that can be easily treated with topical antiviral cream.

The patient reverted, saying that the skin was growing well after following the doctor’s treatment plan and was so happy. But the only issue is that some cracks on the skin had peeled off, and she wanted a solution for that and shared some pictures of her recent skin status.
