About "normal delivery"
Normal delivery refers to the natural method of delivering a baby through the vagina without any medical intervention. Even a vaginal delivery is a unique experience for each mother and for each pregnancy.
A complete term in pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks. Just before or after that, the mother may go into labor anytime. A baby born anytime after 37 weeks is considered full-term, whereas a baby born prior to that is called premature as his lungs and brain are still developing.
The birth of the baby is accompanied by painful contractions in the abdomen, groin, and back. The different stages of labor may last anywhere between a few hours to days.
