Wilson’s disease is a pediatric genetic disorder that causes large amounts of copper to deposit in the liver and brain of the child. It slowly causes severe progressive liver damage. Wilson’s disease also results in psychiatric and neuromuscular symptoms due to the brain and nervous system damage. It is a sporadic and fatal disease. Some of the symptoms seen in this illness are jaundice, abdominal pain and swelling, vomiting blood, tiredness, depression, anxiety, aggressive behavior, tremors, and problems walking. If the condition is diagnosed before it causes severe symptoms, then it is very responsive to medical treatment.
