Wilson’s disease is a pediatric genetic disorder that causes large amounts of copper to deposit in the liver and brain of the child. It slowly causes severe progressive liver damage. Wilson’s disease also results in psychiatric and neuromuscular symptoms due to the brain and nervous system damage. It is a sporadic and fatal disease.
