    Hi.

What is patient's complain, is the tooth painful?
You asked about re-filling,so is the tooth already filled before?
Is the tooth fractured or loose?
Can you upload an x ray for better guidance?

Re-filling, capping and extraction are three different procedures done in different conditions, so to know the exact treatment requirements, the chief complaint of the patient, the condition of the tooth and an x ray of the tooth should be evaluated first..

    Regards .

The answer is it depends on the extent of the missing tooth structure as a result of the decay.

Filling or restoration of the tooth with tooth coloured filling material.
Another option can be inlay preparation.

Restoration of the tooth with a tooth coloured composite filling would be a better option when there is no pain or sensitivity.
