A 33-year-old female has a recurring abscess in the perianal area due to a fistula-in-ano. Is there any scope of treatment in homeopathy as the patient does not want to undergo surgery?
Yes,there is a good scope in Homeopathy for fistula in ano . Depending on the symptoms, homeopathic remedies can be prescribed.

1) Silicea - This is usually my first choice of remedy if fistula is suppurative in condition with mild purulent discharge and is usually accompanied with constipation.
2) Myristica Sebifera - This is very specific remedy as well for fistula and mainly indicated in suppurative conditions.
3) Hepar Sulp - This remedy is very useful when patient complains of severe throbbing kind of pain. Usually indicated when fever is present along with pustular and bloody discharge.
