    Hello,

Personally, I use albendazole to treat ascariasis in both adult and children. First time, I recommend 400 mg for 3 days early in morning, followed by another single dose after 2 weeks.
It's important to detect the source and treat the family members too.

    Hope this helps.

The drug of choice for me in treating Ascariasis in both children and adults is a single dose of 400 mg Albendazole from 2 years onwards. Preferably given at bedtime. Even many comparative clinical studies have also shown Albendazole single dose offers a cure rate of almost 96% plus. Similar results are observed with Mebendazole and Ivermectin. But my preference is albendazole. both in children and adults. If needed dose may be repeated after 10 to 15 days. Thanks.
