Medical Case Details:
A patient having ear block (left side) . Having cold n cough, on medication like azithral, grelinctus.Travelled through flight and ear got blocked since two days. difficulty in hearing as well.
Tried all methods like nasal spray, gulping air, but of no use.

The main thing to do is to check for any fluid behind the ear drum , Get a audio gram and tympanogram done and can confirm that .Secondly start with a week course of antibiotics, methylprednisolobe 16mg in a tapered dose ,nasal spray , and an antacid along with antihistamine for a week and examine the patient back . If he still has fluid behind the ear drum , post him for tympanotomy and advise him to continue with nasal spray for two to three months to keep Eustachian tube opened .
