Ectopic Pregnancy (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)

Medical Case Details:

Details: A 32 years old lady came to ER with severe abdominal pain and mild per vaginal bleeding since few hours. Her last menstruation period was 2 and half months ago. She is G3P2A1. On examination, she was looking toxic and mild pallor. Her blood pressure was 110/70 mm of Hg, heart rate was 90/min and Spo2 was 97 % in room air, Abdomen was soft, lax with diffuse tenderness. She has applied IV fluid 1 L Ringers Lactate start and send pregnancy test, CBC and blood for grouping and cross matching. Her pregnancy test was positive. So, she was suspecting Ectopic pregnancy. She did P/V examination, which was os close and no cervical tenderness. Ultrasound was done, which showed empty uterus with complex adnexal mass. Her total leukocyte count was 9.5 and hemoglobin was 10.1 g/dl. She underwent laparotomy and right salpingectomy. Two unit of whole blood was transfused.?
