A baby, who was born through normal vaginal delivery, has spontaneous respiration, normal heart rate, no acrocyanosis, rooting and sucking reflex present, is able to open the eyes well, normal tone, and normal activity. 15 minutes of life is the baby’s age.
The very first thing is if the baby is clinically normal with normal SpO2, normal reflexes, and normal CNS examination, then not to worry. Regarding cry baby need to be assessed for vocal cords with direct laryngoscopy. Laryngeal hemangioma or a mass can be one of the possibility. Or it may be due to congenital laryngeal paralysis (though I have not seen this in my career) pls post updates.
