Dr Omesh Paul is the owner and consultant at Sai Scans. He did his residency at the Department of Radio-Diagnosis at the G.G.S. Medical College and teaching hospital with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (B.F.U.H.S), Faridkot, Punjab. He devoted two research years at the Orthopaedic Trauma Service (OTS) of the Hospital for special surgery (HSS) at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, with Dr David Helfet, Dr Dean G. Lorich and Dr Joseph Lane. He was awarded three research grants for different projects. Dr Omesh, under the guidance of Dr Helfet, Dr Lorich and Dr Lane, contributed many peer-reviewed publications during his research years at HSS. Apart from this, he presented his research studies at various national conferences including the orthopaedic trauma association (OTA), the American Academy of orthopaedic surgeons (AAOS) and the American Society of Bone and mineral research (ASBM). Before leaving for the U.S., Dr. Omesh was employed as a rural medical officer under the national rural health mission (NRHM) of the Ministry of Health, the government of India. Prior to this, he worked as a junior resident in the department of orthopaedic surgery at the government medical college and hospital, in Chandigarh.
