He was awarded the best ongoing student of the year by RMMCH - in May 2006. He received an award for best scientific paper by I.A.P. He has received the Dr. V. Balagopalaraju award, Dr. B. R. Santhanakrishnan award, and Keya Lahiri award. He was awarded the second-best scientific paper presentation award at the Academy of Medical Sciences from Annamalai University in January 2006.
