Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

This query is for my sister. She is 5 feet 51 inches in height, weighs 99 lbs, and 14-year-old. Some nights she gets intense stomach pain and feels like her stomach squeezes itself, and the pain only comes at night. The pain actually started four years ago, but it was not that painful, but it has become more severe this year. Even if she takes medicine, it comes in waves of pain for five hours. An ultrasound of her stomach was taken, but doctors said there was nothing wrong and gave her stomach pain killers; as I said, it helped, but the pain keeps coming back.

Please give your suggestions.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest undergoing an endoscopy, colonoscopy, and CT (computed tomography) scan abdomen. Also, I suggest taking

1) Tablet Pantoprazole.

2) Antacid syrups along with H. pylori eradication treatment for six weeks.

3) Avoid spicy foods, tea, coffee, carbonated bottle drinks, and outside food habits. Also, avoid analgesics like Paracetamol and Brufen.

4) Take plenty of oral fluids, a high fiber diet, curd, green leafy vegetables, and fruits.

5) Maintain a gap between food and sleeping for at least two hours.

I hope this will give you an idea.
