Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do not have any burning sensation while urinating. But I urinate frequently as I drink more frequently. Now I am worried about whether it has triggered asthma. Now my condition is getting worse. I am taking medications for asthma. I have extreme pain in my abdomen and lower back. What to do? I am scared to go to the hospital in this pandemic situation. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can take tablet Omeprazole 40 mg once a day before taking food for three days and tablet Paracetamol 650 mg once a day after taking food for three days. For asthma, continue taking medications. Please mention whether you use an inhaler. If the pain does not subside, then you can go for further investigations.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Can I have any side effects? I am taking medications for asthma with antibiotics.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You will not have any side effects. You can continue taking antibiotics. They can cause acidity and stomach upset.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Please suggest a solution for my problem.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please mention the exact location of pain in your upper abdomen. If the pain is not reduced, then you can do further testing to rule out the cause. You can do an ultrasound of the whole abdomen with CBC (complete blood count). Please mention whether you have any pain in the chest. Please mention whether the pain occurs for a long time or in episodes. Please mention whether you pass urine and stool normally. If you have any problems in breathing, then you can do a chest X-ray and share your reports. If it is abdominal pain or bloating in the abdomen, then we can replace Paracetamol with tablet Meftal spas (Dicyclomine with Mefenamic acid). Please mention the side of your pain and how long it lasts. Please mention whether it gets spread to other parts.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I took Omeprazole before lunch and Paracetamol after lunch. After an hour, I got some stinging pain in my abdomen. My pain is present in my middle part of my upper abdomen. It is not moving to other sides. It is just present in the middle. It comes and goes now and then. But it stays for a long time before it gets disappeared. I feel bloated with stinging pain. I do not have any chest pain but sometimes I have shortness of breath while having asthmatic attacks. Do I need to continue taking Omeprazole and Paracetamol?

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do not take Paracetamol if it does not help you. You can take tablet Meftal spas three times a day while having severe pain. It will really help you. Keep taking Omeprazole once a day before meals. You seem to have irritable bowel syndrome. Kindly do an ultrasound of the abdomen to rule out the cause. Do a chest X-ray if you have any breathing issues and CBC. If you have severe pain, you can consult a nearby doctor soon.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I cannot get Meftal spas. Is it good to take Dicycloverine 10 mg and Mefenamic acid 250 mg separately?

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can take any other tablet containing Dicycloverine and Mefenamic acid. If the combination is not available, then you can take them separately. Take Dicycloverine 10 mg first and then Mefenamic acid 500 mg. Take this medicine for three days after taking food two times a day.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
