Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had an outbreak of pimples filled with pus or cheesy white material on the chest and back. I have never had such pimples, and this is the first time I have had this. What is the treatment for this, and what is causing this? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. Acne Vulgaris is a common skin problem in adolescents and adults. It involves pilosebaceous follicles or oil glands and therefore is seen to involve areas where oil glands are dense, like the face, chest, back, and upper arms. These are common sites of involvement. In your case, it looks (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) like grade 1 to grade 2 acne. I would suggest the following. Apply Faceclin gel (Clindamycin and Nicotinamide) during day time over pimples and Microbenz 3.5 % (Benzoyl Peroxide) gel at night for around two to three months. Take Tablet Azithromycin 250 mg once daily for three consecutive days in a week for four weeks. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent. Also, avoid spicy, oily, and junk foods. Drink plenty of water.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
