Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had an acne problem on my face for almost one year. I tried too many things, and it worked for some time, but it came to the same. I need a consultant regarding my skin. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Acne lesions occur due to numerous factors like hormonal imbalance, stress, diet, local hygiene, and skin care. To get rid of these lesions, follow these steps. You must apply an anti-acne gel containing Benzoyl Peroxide and Adapalene at night time over existing lesions. You can take oral antibiotics to avoid new lesions. Wash your pillow cover, change it weekly, and clean your cell phone screen. Avoid sugar, sweet, and spicy food. Do meditation to manage stress. Also it is common for acne to flare up before menstruation. Do not pop your pimples as it can lead to scarring. Use non-comedogenic skincare that will not clog pores. Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the response. Can you suggest to me any medicine that can help?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Apply a small amount of BPO gel (Adapalene Benzoyl Peroxide) as a thin layer gently on clean skin and dry affected areas of the skin at night before bed. Use anti-acne facewash containing Benzoyl Peroxide like Brevoxyl facewash. Use a non-comedogenic moisturizer, like hydro boost moisturizer, if you find your skin getting dry. Always use SPF to prevent dark spots after acne heals (you can use sunscreen gel 40PA+++ or silicone sunscreen). Do not use too many actives like alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), and retinol, as they can cause breakouts. Keep your skincare simple. A facewash, moisturizer, sunscreen, and anti-acne cream. Be patient with your skincare and give it at least one month to yield results. If you have irregular menses, it can also cause your acne to flare up, and you should get a consultation for it. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
