Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old and have oily and darker skin. I have been suffering from acne for the past three years. I have used Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, and Tretinoin creams and consulted many dermatologists. I wake up with new acne every day.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. Well, first, you need to understand that acne is a common problem of your age and it is a going process due to hormonal changes and often gets aggravated by stress, fast food, and certain cosmetics. So be patient and relax. You have not been given oral antibiotics, which could have controlled your pustular formation. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Apply Clindamycin gel on the pimple twice daily.
  2. Apply Tretinoin gel on pimples at night.
  3. Use a mild cleanser for oil control.
  4. For dark spots, apply 2 percent Hydroquinone only on dark spots only at night.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
