Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

For past four weeks, I have pain in my ribs. Also, I am experiencing breathing problems. It feels like something has stuck in the heart. For, a few days pain has been decreased. But breathing problem persists. I am also experiencing pain in my lower back. The pain is massive at night times. There is no sign of a cough. Will it be a sign of lung cancer?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Such symptoms are seen in the following conditions: 1. Heart diseases. 2. Pneumonia or Pleural Effusion. 3. Acidity or muscular pain. Now to be on the safer side, I would recommend you to get a Chest x-ray and electrocardiogram (ECG) done. Based on the reports, we would discuss the treatment apart. I hope it helps you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have taken x-ray and blood tests. I am attaching it. Could you please examine and revert back the results? I am not a smoker.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. I have evaluated your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your IgE levels are raised that favors the diagnosis of allergic bronchitis as per your symptoms. However, I could not find an electrocardiogram (ECG) in the attachments. If your doctor finds that your chest is congested, he would give you antiallergic like Levocetirizine and Montelukast. He may also add up inhaler like Budamate 200 (formoterol with budesonide) Transhaler for a short course.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for the reply. Will allergic bronchitis cause throat pain and back pain?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Yes, it can cause these pains, but we must rule out any throat and chest infections. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been taking some medicines for allergic problems. For the last week, I have been experiencing neck pain and neck stiffness, which causes a headache on the backside. For the past two days, I have also been experiencing pressure in my right ear and a little pain in that neck area. Why is this occurring? Is it due to allergic bronchitis?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Yes, this could be a part of an allergic cough only. You can try Soliwax (Benzocaine, Chlorbutol, Paradichlorobenzene, and Turpentine oil) ear drops three drops thrice a day for a week. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

For the last two weeks, I have been experiencing swallowing difficulties with some fever. I am experiencing some itching on my skin which is not very high. I was taking Glemont F tablets and Fluticasone nasal spray. After discussing them with the doctor, I have done some blood tests and urine tests. A chest x-ray also has been taken. I am attaching the results. Please check for any abnormalities.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. I have seen the pictures attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It looks like an allergic issue. Your reports are fine. I would suggest you discuss it with your doctor to add a low dose of steroid-like Methylprednisolone 8 mg for five days under antibiotic cover. I hope it helps you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
