Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have many itchy small bumps (now red) around my body in different shapes. I was told maybe it was an allergic reaction to some food I had. So I am taking antihistamines (one daily). Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It is an allergic rash (hypersensitivity to mite antigen).

I suggest,

  • Apply Mometasone lotion at night for ten days.
  • Apply Dermocalm lotion (Calamine and light liquid paraffin) immediately after bath for ten days.
  • Tablet Teczine-M (Levocetirizine and Montelukast) once at night after food for seven days.
  • Cetrimide soap for the bath for one month.
  • Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions.
  • Apply 5 % Permethrin cream at night on day one and day seven, and repeat after one week.
  • Apply cream below the neck to the whole body at night (contact period eight to 12 hours).
  • Avoid contact with pets.
  • Maintain proper hygiene.
  • Wash clothes separately in hot water and iron them.
  • Regularly change bed linens and sheets.
  • Avoid sharing personal belongings.

I need further details.

Web spaces of fingers involved?

Night aggravation of itching?

Similar complaints among family members?

Fever?

New cosmetic product use recently?

Food allergies or drug allergies?

Answer the questions to confirm the diagnosis.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

That is a significant care routine. Please recommend the essential treatment option for me while traveling to another country. I am taking one tablet of Aler-Z (Cetirizine and Dichlorhydrate) daily. Need clarification on what this means (Web spaces of fingers involved?). I do not have night aggravation of itching. No one else traveling with me had any symptoms. Not that I can tell. Only slightly feel weaker and have some acid reflux. I am using coconut cream, but not in the areas of the bumps. I never had any reaction to any food or drug. Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I suggest tablet Omnacortil 10 mg once daily after breakfast for five days. Rest as mentioned above.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.
