Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have red itchy spots on chest, stomach, shoulder and a few on shins and itchy arms. I am being treated by my GP for a fungal infection. However, after two months of treatment it does not seem to be clearing and indeed the itching is worse. I have a further appointment with her next week but I feel I would like one of your consultants to take a look.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There can be many reasons for itchy red spots. I have viewed the files (attachment removed to protect patient identity). This does not seem like a fungal infection. This seems to be like an allergy to something which can be soap, plants, insect bite, etc. You are applying a mild steroid cream. If the potency of steroid cream is increased you might feel relief. Spray insect repellant medicine at home.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
