Are there chances of me getting pregnant even with the bleeding?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 25 years old. Currently, I am not on any medications. Currently wondering if there is a chance I may be pregnant. With my daughter, I had bled throughout the pregnancy and had a premature birth. My period is usually quite regular, but this time I had light spotting at the beginning of last month and continued on and off until this month when it was heavier for two days then stopped again. No cramping present. Usually, my period lasts for five days. There are symptoms of fatigue, nausea, mood swings. I am just wondering if there are chances of me getting pregnant even with the bleeding.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Although in your previous pregnancy you experienced complications, it is not necessary that the same complications would be present in another one. If you have regular periods, then it is very less likely that you are pregnant. You can take a urine pregnancy test or seek consultation from a gynecologist in person to confirm if you are pregnant. An ultrasound abdomen can be helpful as well. If you are planning another pregnancy, then talk to your doctor so that necessary things can be done to avoid any sort of complication during this one. I hope this helps. Feel free to contact for any further query in the future.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
