Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My last period was on 21st of last month , me and my boyfriend had external touching of penis and vagina (without penetration) on 26th of the same month (last day of menses). I had taken unwanted 72 on the next day. On 28th of that month there were few drops of bleeding which continued for two days (maybe withdrawl bleeding). On 14th of the next month me and my boyfriend had sex (using condom) and my hymen broke. Maybe while wearing the condom there was some contact of precum. I am still not having my periods. Is this delay because of the pill or is there any chance of pregnancy? Please help I am very much scared.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Pregnancy causes amenorrhea. However, the delay might also have caused due to stress or hormonal imbalance. I suggest you wait for another 1 to 2 weeks. Stay calm. If you do not get your periods, take a urine pregnancy test (the pregnancy test kit available). If the results are negative and there is still a delay in periods, then seek medical help. Consult a gynecologist in person. She will examine you, and if needed, she might advise some tests to know the underlying cause of delayed periods. Once the cause is known, you will be guided by appropriate management. I hope this helps. Feel free to contact for any further query in the future.
