Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had heavy periods for three weeks. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Did you miss periods before that, or is there any chance of pregnancy? If yes, then it may be due to incomplete abortion. If there is no such chance and you have never had this before, it may be due to many reasons. I suggest you take blood tests to check hemoglobin levels, total count, differential count, platelets, PT (prothrombin time), BT (bleeding time), CT (clotting time), TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone), and ultrasound of the pelvis. If you have been taking any hormonal pills, it may be withdrawal bleeding. Kindly revert with further details.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

I am listing the last ten cycles details below:

  1. The period started on the 25th.
  2. The period started on the 21st.
  3. The period started on the 15th.
  4. The period started on first. On the 13th, I had unprotected sex and took Unwanted 72 on the 14th.
  5. The period started on the 28th.
  6. The period started on the 22nd, and I had unprotected sex on the 24th.
  7. Had unprotected sex on the 6th and took Unwanted 72 on the seventh.
  8. The period started on the 20th, and I had unprotected sex on the 27th and took Unwanted 72 again on the 28th.

I retook Unwanted 72 on seventh. I had spotting from 19th to 22nd and a light flow from 26th to 31st. On the first and second of this month, I had heavy bleeding, and again on the 14th, 15 th, and from 20 to 23rd, I had heavy bleeding. If I do not have heavy bleeding, I always have light spotting. Do you still think a chance of pregnancy? Am I in any dangerous situation?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This appears to be due to many pills of Unwanted 72. These pills increase the thickness of the womb lining, and after their effect is over, the withdrawal bleeding may be heavy. Due to heavy bleeding, you may become anemic, so it is better to see a gynecologist. The chance of pregnancy is low.
