Is it possible to be pregnant if a urine pregnancy test shows two red lines two days after missing periods?

Patient's Query

Hi,

I am two days late for my periods. I had sex with my partner every day from the 15th day of last month until the month's end. I checked on the home pregnancy kit this morning, and it showed two red lines as soon as I kept the urine drop. Can these test kits be true? Because I skipped just two days on my period, will this test show the correct result so soon?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

As per your description, these symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance or pregnancy.

In your pelvic ultrasound, the endometrial thickness may be more due to early pregnancy.

I suggest you-

1. You must get your blood beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level to rule out pregnancy.

2. You must get your thyroid profile and hemoglobin tests done.

I hope you found this information useful.

Feel free to ask more questions.

Thank you.
