My son is two months old and weighs six kilograms. His nose is blocked slightly and he makes a sound while breathing. He has breathing difficulties and has been breathing faster than normal since last night. The pediatrician prescribed the following treatment and medication.
- Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen infant drops for fever.
- Home nebulizer (normal saline 2 ml, Albuterol 0.2 ml, Budesonide 0.2 ml) eight-hour frequency.
- Amoxicillin and Clavulanate combination 20 ml infant drops 62.5 mg/ml.
- Ambroxol syrup for cough.
Is the Ambroxol cough syrup safe to be used for a two-month-old infant?
