Hi doctor,

My blood pressure is 160/100 mmHg. There is no improvement even after I take Lisinopril 20 mg? Please suggest me some advice.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • If your blood pressure is not under control after taking Lisinopril, then I would suggest another antihypertensive pill called Amlodipine. Consult your doctor, discuss with him or her and then take the medicine with consent.
  • I also suggest kidney function tests, fasting blood sugar, thyroid profile and lipid profile in general check for your fitness level.

Thank you doctor,

Recently, I have done a blood and urine test. Everything is normal except some calcium in my urine and was diagnosed with kidney stones. I have diabetes, but controlled using Metformin. How long does it take for Amlodipine to react? I am at a cold climate right now, can the cold weather be affecting my blood pressure?
