Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a positive ANA.

ANA titer: 1:640 AC-1, homogeneous.

ANA titer: 1:640 AC-2, 4, 5, 29, speckled.

RNP antibody: positive 1.5. All other antibodies are low.

Serum cortisol: high 30 at 8:15 AM.

Symptoms: Pulse races sometimes (can control with breathing exercises), especially when nervous. Vague muscle aches and pains, bilateral, that come and go. It could last a day or two and then leave. I also have muscle fatigue. The symptoms tend to be very vague and come and go. No Raynaud's, no swollen hands or fingers.

Sedimentation rate: 2

CRP: 2.4 mg/L.

Does this sound like anything to be concerned with? I am anxious about the antibody findings. I am currently taking Nexium, Clonapin .5 mg at night.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I would need to know first of all the symptoms for which ANA (antinuclear antibody) test was done. Any joint pains, facial erythema, or any fever? Revert with the asked details for better help.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

No fever or joint pains or facial erythema. Most of the pain tends to be in my tendons. I was having muscle twitching also, but that went away. My muscle in my thigh was twitching for almost a month and then just suddenly stopped. I do feel like my muscle fatigue is getting better as the month progress.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

See ANA positivity with no symptoms of lupus has no value. You must know that normal population has positive ANA. There is no need to worry about these antibody titers as you have no symptoms of lupus. Your symptoms fit more into anxiety, so Klonopin is the answer for you. I really do not believe that the titers have nothing to do with your health.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
