Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am aware a chiropractor only works on the back, but I have a question about my ankles. Every time I run, it feels similar to my ankles rolling out of place, and back into place again. It is extremely painful and I would like to know if there is anything I can do to help this. Also, I am a waitress and I have to stand for long periods.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As standing for long hours can lead to weakness in the ligaments of the ankle joint, leading to ankle instability. If never taken an MRI of the ankle due to any sprain I will recommend one to take. You can start using the balance board training which will help improve the muscle imbalances and provide good stability of the ankle. Balance board training has been found effective for providing ankle stability.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
