Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Recently, I performed power cleans by lifting the bar from the ground to my waist to my shoulders, exerting pressure on my wrists with a considerable amount of weight and engaged in multiple 40-yard sprints. However, I am now experiencing pain in both of my wrists and my right ankle when I run or lift weights. I feel this discomfort is centered in my joints and is not related to muscle soreness. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. Based on the information you provided, I suggest you gradually start strengthening your forearm and leg muscles. Also, inform me if you have experienced any ankle sprains in the past, as this information will be valuable for further assessment. Additionally, I suggest you incorporate reverse walking into your routine. I suggest you try balance board training for both your ankle and wrist, as it can enhance joint stability and address any muscle imbalances you may have. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
