Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I struggle with spinal and lower back pain for the past four years. It radiates through my ribs. Only I feel great when I have a sleep for four to six hours and I wake up after a few hours due to the excruciating pain. I am so stiff and I can move. I have pulsating pain and I feel like everything is fused together. I can get relief only when I get up and move around. I do not have trouble during day time. When I have a hug or pressure on my back, then I start to have a little pain with pressure. I also have trouble in the bladder with leaks. I am not sure whether these two are related. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

These symptoms can be due to ankylosing spondylitis or spondyloarthropathy. It is an inflammatory arthritis that primarily involves the spine, ribs, and hip joints. These symptoms usually become worsen with rest and it improves with activities. They are associated with morning stiffness. To confirm it, you should get the following tests such as ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), CRP (C-reactive protein), HLAB27 (human leukocyte antigen B 27), and X-ray of the pelvis at the anteroposterior view. To control the symptoms, you can start taking a tablet Etoricoxib 90 mg once at night.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
