Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I desperately need antibiotics as I cannot get an appointment for three weeks with my dentist and I cannot go to the dentist in an emergency because my autistic son is at home, and he is not in his routine. My local doctors are also not helping me.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and I can understand your concern.

I am an oral surgeon, and I can prescribe you the necessary antibiotic if you let me know your dental issue. Do elaborate on me, and I can tell you the treatment plan and prevention.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I had a toothache at the beginning of the week, which was horrible. My cheek next to my nose has swelled up, and it is an abscess. It is difficult to eat.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and I can understand your concern.

You need endodontic treatment for the tooth in question at the earliest. Do not ignore it for a long duration. Please get it treated within 10 to 15 days.

You can follow this antibiotic course, painkiller, and antacid for around three to five days till your pain comes down (local brands would vary).

Capsule Augmentin 625 mg (Amoxycillin 500 and Clavulanic acid 125) twice daily (three days after food).

Nucoxia P or Tablet Dolokind Plus twice daily (three days after food).

Pan D or antacid before food if you have any acidity issues.

However, please consult a physician, discuss with them and start taking the medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I cannot get an appointment at my dentist, and they have told me to go to emergency dentist. However, I will not be able to go because my autistic son cannot get out of his routine.

I have asked my local doctors to help me with antibiotics, and they said I need to go to the dentist and get some.

Can you prescribe me antibiotics?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and I can understand your concern.

Yes, that is what I have prescribed. Augmentin 625 is Amoxicillin antibiotic combined with Clavulanic acid.

You can also take an 875 mg dose if you cannot get a 625 mg capsule.

I am writing the prescription again:

Capsule Augmentin 625 mg (Amoxycillin 500 mg and Clavulanic acid 125 mg) twice daily (three days after food).

Nucoxia P or Tab Dolokind Plus twice daily (three days after food).

Pan D or antacid before food if you have any acidity issues.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
