Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am an 18-year-old female. I have been suffering from obesity since I was a child. I am a non-regular smoker and inactive also. So I am afraid that I might have a heart attack because lately, I have been feeling a weird sensation, a deep squeezing sensation in my chest. It is like someone is squeezing my heart. Sometimes the feeling extends to my throat. It is more like discomfort. If I rated the pain from one to ten, I would give it a one. It comes and goes, and I also feel nauseous when I wake up. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms are not typical of cardiac disorders. Anxiety seems to be the main cause of your complaints. I would recommend performing some blood laboratory tests. Do Complete blood count for anemia, Thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction, Blood electrolytes, A resting ECG (electrocardiogram), Performing a lot of physical activity can help improve your situation, especially yoga and aerobics. I also recommend avoiding caffeine intake.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
