Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been on antidepressant medication, Sulpiride 50mg, for nine months now. I started the medicine as I was experiencing mood swings along with frequent anxiety and panic attacks. But in recent times I noticed myself being more obsessed towards the medication, I also experienced an increase in heart rate, anxiety, and panic attacks. Kindly help me to overcome it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand what you are going through right now. Panic attacks are extreme forms of anxiety that may or may not occur with all the other forms of anxiety. Given the situation, you can go for antidepressant medications as Sulpiride (Benzamides) are not the drugs that are in the first line of choice for treating depression. However, you can start on your antidepressants after getting a proper medical consultation.

I hope this answer helped you,

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
