Hi doctor,
I am 59 years old female with a weight of 56 kilograms and a height of five feet seven inches. I woke up in the morning with soreness in the leg. I am using Hydrocortisone cream and I used a bandaid during the day. I am leaving it free in the air at night. Will it get healed? I have pictures to send it.

I understand your concern. Please send me the pictures. I will check it and let you know. Please mention the duration of soreness in your legs and any swelling or redness. You can take tablet Diclofenac 75 mg when you have pain. This pain can occur due to arthritis. Please send me the picture and so I can guide you further.

I have gone through the picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It seems to be due to injuries or bite. I suggest you clean the wound with a Betadine solution. Apply Neosporin ointment (Bacitracin with Neomycin and Polymyxin B). Apply it twice a day for five days. It will get healed soon and you can take tablet Diclofenac 75 mg when you have pain. Please mention whether you have a history of diabetes or blood pressure. Please mention about the injury and how to do got it.

I do not have diabetes or hypertension. It is not getting healed and I am concerned about it alone. I will try what you suggested.

Kindly apply the ointment on the wound and clean them with a Betadine solution. Use clean cotton while cleaning. Revert me after five days.
