Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 35 years old but I cannot breathe properly. Either I have to take nebulizer with Duolin or Borecort or Asthalene inhaler. But I am not satisfied with all these medicines. Kindly suggest. I got an asthma attack 13 years back.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. If your asthma symptoms are not under control, an evaluation will be necessary to know the reason. Change in inhalers will be necessary. We need to evaluate what all things you are allergic to and those have to be avoided. I see that your weight is202.82 lb. Weight reduction will go a long way in asthma control. If you also have a nasal allergy, that also has to be treated. Allergy testing may be done to determine what all things you are allergic to. The probable causes include 1.Poor inhalation technique. 2.Obesity. 3.Regular exposure to allergens. The investigations to be done are 1.CBC (complete blood count). 2.Serum IgE. 3.Absolute eosinophil count. 4.Spirometry. 5.Allergy test.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
