Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 24-year-old male. I have wheezing, cough, and loss of smell the past few days. I am a nonsmoker. I took an X-ray and spirometry test. I would like to consult a doctor to clarify the results accordingly. Please give me your opinion on this. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. Based on your reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity), your chest X-ray seems normal. Pulmonary function testing (PFT) shows moderate obstructive defect with good bronchodilator reversibility. This means you have asthma which is of moderate severity. You have to take inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids along with oral antihistamines and anti-allergic drugs. I hope this resolves your query. Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response. Is it curable or non-curable? Please could you tell me about this? Regards.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. This is not curable. This can be controllable through inhaled and oral medicines. Are you taking any treatment at present? Please let me know so that I can guide you better. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
