Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My baby has loose motion. And I gave my baby syrup Oflotas Oz suspension, which has not stopped it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Stop taking that medication, which is not recommended for children with loose motions (diarrhea). Loose motions in children are typically viral and require symptomatic treatment. Instead, provide him with an oral rehydration solution (ORS). Make sure your child is passing enough urine.

For gut immunity, give the baby syrup Zinc (Zirconia) 5 ml daily for 14 days and syrup Vizylac (Folic Acid, Lactobacillus Sporogenes, Nicotinamide, Panthenol, Pyridoxine, Riboflavin, and Thiamine) 3.5 ml twice daily for five days. Please avoid giving the baby any outside food and watch for any signs of dehydration. If the motion continues, take half a sachet of oral rehydration solution (ORS) mixed with a glass of water twice a day for 3 to 5 days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
