Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My baby is 6 days old and he is suffering from loose motion since today.

Answered by Dr. S. Riaz Ahmed

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Basically, if it is watery loose motion, either it is viral induced or milk intolerance. In a 6-day-old baby, if mother's milk is exclusively given, not to worry about it as it can stimulate loose motion. You have to worry only when the baby becomes weak, dehydrated and starts vomiting.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
