Hi doctor,
My son has fever that started over a week ago and does not seem to go away. He is on medication at the moment taking the tablet Pulmicort. He coughs a lot mostly wet coughs and sneezes too. Today he underwent chest X-ray and the radiologist told us he has inflammation in his lung but no sign of water or fluid (he assured us nothing serious there). Please find attached the blood test that we performed for him this morning. Please help us interpret the results and understand the situation.
Should we worry? We appreciate it.

The blood test is absolutely normal for the age of the kid. History of the disease suggests a viral verses bacterial infection and the treatment line is fine. Add an antihistamine to the medication and nebulize with a bronchodilator. Use a chymotrypsin agent as well. He might also need a short course of antibiotics such as Quinolone or Macrolide. Contact local pharmacist or doctor for locally available preparations of medicines.
