Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 2-year-old baby girl has been having rashes and pimples since morning, and they are itching and spreading everywhere. I applied a Calamine lotion. Please suggest something for it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest you check if she has a fever with a thermometer. If her temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more, I suggest you give her the child syrup Crocin DS (double strength) 240 mg or 5 ml (dose as per the child's weight) and Allegra (Fexofenadine). In addition, you can apply T-Bact ointment (Mupirocin). If there is no relief, it is best to get the child evaluated physically by a pediatrician. If there is no fever, you can apply T-Bact ointment to the white pustules whenever the baby is off to sleep and use the syrup Allegra (dose as per the child's weight) twice a day for three days. You can continue to apply the lotion at night when the baby sleeps.

Thank you.
