Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I did a few wrong steps in the gym two to three years ago, due to which I have lower back issues. I experience pain every time I step in an uneven place. My doctor requested that I undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to check my lumbar spine. I take a few painkillers and anti-inflammatory pills and go for physiotherapy. Please suggest the right treatment for faster recovery.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I will suggest something after looking at the reports.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor for the reply,
I request you to suggest the best medicine to recover from this condition.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), indentation and compression of the L4-S1 (lumbosacral vertebrae) can be seen. Did you experience any pain in the left lower limb? The disc protrusion might cause pain while moving the spine and lead to compressive myelopathy and radiculopathy. So, the first thing I would suggest is to avoid lifting weight. Take a rest and support yourself while studying or working in front of a laptop. Use a lumbosacral belt as it always supports the lumbosacral muscles. I suggest you take a Calcium tablet daily to strengthen the bones. You can apply cold and warm compresses. Sometimes physiotherapy and inversion table decompression might provide relief. If no improvement is seen, I suggest taking the tablet Aceclofenac with Chlorzoxazone (100 or 500 mg) after meals for five days. Please consult a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon for surgical decompression.
Thank you.
