Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a very fit person and I had three slip disks on my neck c3-c6. Unfortunately, it ended up causing arm numbness at night. I am doing physiotherapy exercises every two weeks. Last week, I had sharp back pain on the back while breathing and today it recurred again and it was very painful. I am taking painkillers and it does not help me. Do I need to visit the doctor soon?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You can have swelling over the slip discs or it can be due to slight dislocation. Due to that, your spine can have compression and because of that, you may have developed these symptoms. You need to do X-rays and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to check the condition. If there is no change, then it can occur due to various other reasons like low blood pressure. You need to visit your doctor soon and do your tests again to see the condition. Treat the condition accordingly. Please send your old reports to mention the severity of the condition. Kindly send the pictures.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
