Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 20 and about every two months I throw out my upper back and neck causing pain in my upper back, shoulders, neck, and down my arms. I am a waitress and I am assuming that is what is causing my issues but is there something more I should be doing? Chiropractic work seems to help but I feel like at such a young age I should not be having this happen so often.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your description is suggestive of a trigger spot in the upper back and neck. Most likely this is postural and result of your professional requirements.

You need to see a good physiotherapist who could help rectify your postural issues. You are already on Fluoxetine (antidepressant) and need good NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) tablets, hot packs or ice and deep myofascial release.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
