Patient's Query

Hello,

I have had loose stools for more than one month. If I take antibiotics for three days, it cures but comes back after a few days. I tried antibiotics like Norfloxacin and Tinidazole, Bifilac, and Loperamide hydrochloride. I have not performed any lab tests. A month ago, sewage water seeped into groundwater at our place, so I got these health issues. I do not have any pain or nausea. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

The loose stools are probably caused by a bacterial infection that you got by drinking unclean water.

How long were the medicines taken, and what was the dose?

If your symptoms persist, I suggest getting a stool culture and sensitivity test done.

It will help to know exactly which bacteria are responsible for your problem and the correct medications that should be given.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
