Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am seeking nutritionist's insight into eating the same thing every day. Is it fine to eat the same foods every day, as long as we are eating a healthy balanced diet? How might eating the same meals every day affect the mindset about food? Is it bad to get bored with the foods and still eat them anyway because it is easier than thinking of something new to work with? How do you go about getting more creative with the food choices, without breaking the bank, without making it super complicated, etc.?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Generally yes, but we should consider the patient's experience. In other words, seeing the same colors every day will considered as monotony. This should be avoided. As I said, it is a matter of colors and what you see every day. If it is the same thing every day, then you will fall into depression. I think you should find different ways to cook the foods to avoid getting upset, and lack of appetite. It is simple. Just be creative, that will change the boring mood. You should see the food as a mean to survive. Sometimes, I advise my patients to think about how many people in the world are going to work or bed without eating anything, just consuming plain water. This will change the way of thinking about what to consume every day. Playing with food is also another option (milk, eggs, bread, veggies to use in different ways and colors).

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
