Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My foreskin is not coming down. I had balanitis before two years and I was advised to take some tablets and cream by my doctor and it got cured after using it. Now I have the same problem after two years.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. According to the statement, you have been suffering from balanitis. It causes inflammation on the head of the penis or gland penis. It causes difficulty in pulling foreskin with other clinical features. It is usually caused due to infection of the bacteria or fungus or virus, minor trauma or friction of the glans penis, poor hygiene, irritants or allergens, sexually transmitted diseases, and diabetes. You need to do some investigations such as urine R/M/E (routine and examination) and C/S (culture and sensitivity), urethral or prostatic swab for C/S, and a biopsy to determine the cause of your present sufferings and then treat them accordingly. In the meantime, you can apply antifungals like Clotrimazole cream and corticosteroids like Hydrocortisone cream to the affected area. Try to wear loose clothing to protect your penis from minor trauma or frictions.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I was suggested with a tablet and I was taking it on alternative days. Can you suggest some medicine?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You would have been suggested with oral antifungal medication as you were suffering from balanitis in a particular area. Now, I suggest you use topical antifungal cream and corticosteroid creams. You can take tablet Diflucan 50 mg (Fluconazole) one tablet once daily for 10 to 14 days. You can use Hydrocortisone cream twice daily on the affected area.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am unable to get the tablet. Please give me an alternative option.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Instead of Diflucan, you can take tablet Glenflu or Triben F or Fumycin or Forcan or Gocan. All the medications contain Fluconazole. You can take any of them.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Can I get them anywhere?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, you can get these above-mentioned medications anywhere. Try to take medication soon to have some relief.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
