Patient's Query

Hello,

I am a 30-year-old male. I was born with benign familial macrocephaly even though none of my parents had a large head. Since I was a kid, I was abused for having a large head. I am worried that my kids will also have this condition. So is there a way to treat it early as my child is still a baby?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinic.com.

Since it is familial macrocephaly, it cannot be treated, unfortunately. However, you can adjust the hair and clothing to appropriately mask the head size by modifying the hair line, keeping the hair dense, and wearing slightly bigger clothing while the child goes out or goes to school.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
