Beta-hcg Level

Beta-hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is the hormone produced by the placenta during pregnancy. The presence of more than 25 mIU/ml of beta-hCG in blood is considered positive for pregnancy. This level keeps doubling every 72 hours and will reach its peak in the first 8 to 11 weeks of pregnancy.
